Enjoy the Day

Are you a Pinterest fanatic? Do you have every detail of your wedding planned down to the color-coordinated mints? Are you getting through the planning process just fine without any professional help, thank you very much?

Your Two Gals Planning love Pinterest and DIY projects as much as anyone! Our wish for every bride, however, is that she is able to enjoy her big day and relax. This is why we'd like you to consider our "Day Of" Coordination Services.

Silver Lining would love to help you on your Wedding Day! With just one or two brief meetings, we can get a feel for your style,  familiarize ourselves with your vendors and be there to make your wedding run smoothly. We take the worry out of the coordination process! We'll make sure the caterer is set up, flowers and table settings are perfect, the timeline is adhered to and the day goes off without a hitch!

Contact Silver Lining Event Planning for a consultation and more information about our "Day Of" Coordination Services. Happy Planning!

Connection...Not Perfection

Fallen flan? Rock hard rolls? Grainy gravy? Holiday gatherings are just full of surprises. We've all been there! You may have checked off every item on your list and mapped out every detail weeks in advance but sometimes things just don't go the way you've planned them. Your "Two Gals Planning" are here to tell you...that's ok.

If you've hired a caterer or a professional planner, then perfection or something extremely close to it is to be expected. If, however, you are hosting your own get-together, we ask that you please, please don't worry about the small mistakes. Think about what is really important to you and your family and friends. Is it perfection? Probably not. We are guessing that it's about being together and enjoying each other. No one will remember if the turkey is a little dry or if your candles don't match. They will remember the laughter, the conversation and the little touches that make your gathering special.

Strive for a holiday filled with tradition, warmth and delicious family favorites. Don't succumb to the stress of trying to be perfect. Enlist helpers, relax and most of all...have fun! Happy Thanksgiving from Silver Lining Event Planning!

Peace, Love and Parties

Think it's impossible to throw a stress-free party? Think again! Your "two gals planning" have thrown many a soiree where stress has been turned away at the door.  Our secret? Delegate!

Trying to do it all yourself as the host/hostess can leave you feeling exhausted and allows no time for you to enjoy your own party! Get a friend, some family members or even your kids to lend a hand.  You'd be surprised how much fun the preparation can be when it's a group effort!

Make a checklist before your party and see which tasks can be delegated and which tasks you absolutely must handle yourself.  For instance, kids are great at helping with the decorations, placing food on the tables and taking guests' coats when they come to your door.  Putting your spouse/significant other in charge of the music, asking your mother to make the coffee or having your sister keep the ice buckets filled will leave you free to concentrate on what's important...having a good time at your wonderful party!  Don't be afraid to ask, most people are happy to help.  Remember...Delegate and Celebrate!
